Pastor Roderick L. Hennings ~ a prolific speaker, renowned teacher, a powerful preacher, one used by the Holy Ghost to “change lives in an unchanging world”. He is a lecturer, a coach, and a leadership mentor.

Roderick L. Hennings founded Zion Dominion Global Ministries in 1993. His unique ability to communicate the Word of God without compromise attracts people from different socioeconomic backgrounds; races and nationalities; and has caused a continued growth in membership from 20 at inception to currently over 5,000.

Roderick Hennings is the husband of one wife, Mrs. Pamela D. Hennings and the father of his only two daughters: Ariane and Chloé Hennings.

Pastor Hennings, originally from Youngstown, OH, accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord at age 17. At age 18, he answered the "call" of God to declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has a demonstration of signs and wonders following the word. He was officially ordained into the ministry in 1982.

Pastor Hennings’ faith, spirituality, and spirit of excellence were crystallized very early in his Christian walk. Other leaders knew he would be an outstanding leader and destined for good success. He has received numerous awards and honors which attests to those impressions including the Visionary Award ~ Unityfest (Niagara Falls NY); WUFO 1080 AM Appreciation Award; Trocaire College Black History honors, the 2007 Black Achievers in Industry Award of Excellence, etc.

Pastor Hennings ministerial experience began as an Assistant Pastor in Youngstown, Ohio; an Assistant to the State Bishop of Christian's Charismatic Church (Ohio); Youth Pastor (Buffalo NY); Pastor of True Word Holiness Church (Buffalo, NY) in 1991; to presently the Senior Pastor of Zion Dominion Global Ministries.

Pastor Hennings successfully relocated Zion Dominion from a 30,700 square feet cathedral at 360 Genesee Street in Buffalo NY to a 14 acre campus at 895 North Forest Road in Amherst, NY in order to accommodate a global reach. As a result of his ministry and community efforts Genesee Street was renamed Roderick Hennings Way. A second location of the ministry was launched in Rochester, NY with a membership of over 400 and services held Saturday evening (Sunday on Saturday-SOS).

In May of 2013 Zion Dominion acquired a permanent home for its Rochester location at 300 Phelps Rd, Rush, NY, boasting a beautiful 56 acre campus.

In addition to his faithfulness to ministry, Pastor Hennings has a strong commitment to the general community. He currently serves as an active Board member on the United Way of Buffalo Board. He has served as a Board member of Grace Manor Nursing Home; Chairman for Buffalo Affiliate of BLCA (Black Leadership Commission on Aides); a committee member of the Western New York Leadership Summit; he collaborated with Hopevale, Inc. to offer faith based services for abused women and children; applied and received grant monies to purchase new computers to increase computer literacy among people in low income areas. Under Pastor Hennings leadership, Zion Dominion has become the first known church in WNY to form a little league football team under Pop Warner National Football and Cheerleading organization.

Pastor Hennings continues to serve the International and Jurisdictional COGIC church in several capacities: he is the International COGIC Director of Church Growth & Development; Administrative Assistant to Jurisdictional Prelate of New York Western Jurisdiction #1; and Chairman of the Ordination Board for New York Western Jurisdiction #1. Pastor Hennings has served as: International COGIC Vice President of the Youth Department; International COGIC Executive Board Member of the Men’s Department; and New York Western Jurisdiction #1 Institute Instructor.

 Pastor Hennings’ church affiliation and covenant relationship extends denominational lines. He established the Legacy Network Consulting organization for Pastors across the country. This organization’s mission is to facilitate personal, spiritual, and church growth by offering resources and creating opportunities which fosters relationships through exchange of referrals. In addition, Pastor Hennings was part of the National Conclave of HIV/AIDS Policy for Black Clergy Conference, Educational Services, Inc. (ESI).
